Activity Committee's First Event: A Luck-Filled Success
On Friday, March 13th, Sanctuary's Activities Committee held its first event: a Pot-O-Luck dinner. Around 25 congregants gathered for a meal and games. Members of the Activities Committee decorated the church with green streamers and lights. The chairs normally used for service were moved over and replaced with a long-covered table where participants could join in fellowship. The kitchen was filled with delicious foods including two pasta dishes, fruit trays, cabbage Alfredo, green beans with potatoes, banana pudding, Guthrie's chicken, and others. During the meal, the congregation played St. Patrick's Day Trivia. After dinner everyone played Bingo for prizes including cash and Sanctuary T-Shirts. There was also an Uno Showdown between two teams on opposite ends of the table. A great time was had by all.
Next month the Activities Committee hopes to plan an Easter celebration on a Friday before Easter so that it does not interfere with Sunday services. Continue watching for details coming soon.
