Sanctuary Community of Christ has raised $5,171.67 in just one week, including matching contributions from community supporters, to help fund participation in an upcoming peace-focused gathering.

As of March 12, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., the congregation reported that the total had reached $5,171.67 through a week-long fundraising effort supported by donors who matched contributions made on behalf of Sanctuary congregants.

The funds will support the congregation’s involvement in the upcoming Peace Forum hosted at the International Headquarters of the Community of Christ in Independence. The forum is scheduled to take place in October 2026 and is expected to bring together participants from across the denomination to engage in conversations and learning centered on peacebuilding and reconciliation.

Supporters organized the matching contributions to ensure that members of the Sanctuary congregation who wish to attend the event are able to participate.
