Recipe Corner: Donna’s Seven Layer Salad
Despite the snow, warmer weather will get here, and that means things like picnics and family reunions. For a cool, delicious dish, try this yummy classic.
Ingredients:
1 head of iceberg lettuce
1 green pepper
1 medium onion
2 stalks of celery
1 pkg of frozen peas
1 small jar of mayonnaise
4 boiled eggs
shredded cheese
bacon bits
Cut up the vegetables and layer them as follows: lettuce, celery, green pepper, and onion. Add the peas. After boiling the eggs, peel and slice them. Place on top of the peas. Spread the mayo over the eggs to form a seal. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and top with bacon bits. This dish will keep better if it is not mixed until ready to be served. When ready for your event, mix, serve, and enjoy.
