Sanctuary Activities Committee Planning Monthly Fellowship Events
WRITTEN BY: EVAN SUTTON
The Sanctuary Activities Committee is excited to launch a new series of monthly fellowship events designed to bring members of the congregation together for fun, connection, and community.
Kicking things off will be a St. Patrick’s Day Potluck Celebration on Friday the 13th. Members and friends of the church are invited to bring an Irish-inspired dish or a favorite family recipe to share with others. The evening will be filled with good food, laughter, and fellowship.
To celebrate the holiday, guests are encouraged to wear a green shirt and join in a few fun rounds of Bingo, where small prizes will be awarded. The event is meant to be a relaxed and welcoming time for everyone to gather, enjoy a meal together, and strengthen the sense of community within the church.
This potluck marks the beginning of a new initiative by the Sanctuary Activities Committee to host events every month throughout the year. The committee hopes these gatherings will create regular opportunities for fellowship and connection among church members and visitors alike.
Plans are also underway for several upcoming activities. The committee is currently discussing hosting a special Easter-themed event later in the season, likely on a date separate from Easter Sunday, so that families and church members can gather for fellowship without conflicting with holiday services and family traditions.
Looking ahead to the warmer months, the committee is also considering a summer cookout, giving everyone a chance to enjoy food, conversation, and outdoor fun. Additional ideas being explored include a movie night, karaoke night, game nights, and other seasonal gatherings that encourage participation from all ages.
The goal of the Sanctuary Activities Committee is to create consistent monthly opportunities for fellowship, helping strengthen relationships within the congregation while providing a welcoming space for new visitors and friends of the church.
The committee welcomes ideas, volunteers, and participation from anyone in the congregation who would like to help make these events a success. With activities planned throughout the year, there will be many opportunities to connect, celebrate, and enjoy time together as a church community.
More details about each event will be shared as the dates approach, and everyone is encouraged to join in and invite a friend.
