Outreach Committee Helps More Than 60 Individuals Through Supply Drive
The Sanctuary Community of Christ Outreach Committee recently assisted more than 60 individuals through a community supply effort focused on household and hygiene needs. The need for these supplies within our community is vital.
The committee & congregational members assembled 60 bags, each containing more than 10 items, including household cleaning supplies and personal hygiene products. The bags were distributed as part of an organized effort to support individuals and families with essential everyday necessities. Bags included things like deodorant, laundry soap, dish soap, et cetera.
The effort included a combination of donated materials from congregants as well as purchased supplies. The Outreach Committee spent approximately $700.00 to complete the project.
Each bag was prepared with multiple items intended to help meet basic day-to-day needs, reflecting a coordinated effort to maximize available resources and support a larger number of recipients. The mission of this congregation is to support the very people Christ calls us to support.
The initiative is part of ongoing service projects coordinated by the Sanctuary Community of Christ Outreach Committee. The next project will be on May 6 — creating supplies to use at Portsmouth, Chillicothe & Adams (CO) pride.
Go be the good you wish to see.
